2007 9-5 Aero Performance

Hi all;

This is a little nick-picky but my 07' 95 Aero w/53K miles just doesn't seem to have the same "OMG" wow acceleration that my older 1994 Red 9000 Aero had? This 07' run just fine, but if I'm cruising along at 110 or so and hit it hard it just doesn't seem to have the awesome pickup that the 94' 9000 Aero had. I tried the boost control valve trick, i.e. pull the top hose and plug with a bolt, but not much difference. I'm wondering if these newer ones just don't it like the old ones did, or I've got something else going on, like slightly out of balance engine? Again, performance is good, can cruise at 135 or better when in lawless land, but just not quite what I expected. Hoping to hear ideas or clarification that this is the way it is. BTW my 94' was rated at 220bhp, and this one at 260bhp.

Cruising along at 110 mph? I don't drive those speeds but pick up with my 2005 is awesome from 60-70 mph. Of course I also never owned a 9000 so I can't compare either.

Out in Nevada and NM the roads are long and desolate. My 07' might be fine, just nowhere near the acceleration of the 94'. Hoping someone else has driven both.
