HVAC vent issues....
...having some vent issues, at this point I'm leaning towards a broken stop arm on the drivers side. I haven't really had much time to diagnose except on my way to work...I've heard that the HVAC housing needs to be replaced on these a lot, but I don't think I really need the whole box? Can you guys pt me in the right direction? I found a writeup on a blend door stop arm repair but it wasn't very helpful. I'm going to try the auto + off to see what code I get and go from there. I think what is happening is that everything is working temperature wise as far as the passenger zone is concerned but the driver seems to be stuck on floor/defrost combo and isn't getting very cold? Any ideas spurring from the little info I have so far? Also do you know the combination as far as if the car is on or off or on but engine off when I do the auto+off to check the codes? About to read thru the rest of my manual...can't believe all the options for the ACC on a 2001....pretty crazy all the computing it does....and I'm only half way thru it. Thx ahead for any help
