Thank you for the input Finding 41 but since the high beams won't come on at all even if pull the relays one at a time I will not be able to tell if I have pulled the correct one.

On the inside of the fuse lid is a diagram. Or Google a diagram.

The Fuse relay diagram on the inside of the lid only has numbers, you have to use the owners manual to figure out what is fuse and relay is used for. According to the Manual not one relay is for the headlights, there are 2 separate fuses, but these fuse run more then high beams so it is not the fuses.
Again thank you for the input

I am grateful for the write up as I have a 2003 9-3 SE with the exact same problem. Rather than try to fix the relay, I ordered a brand new one from Amazon (Part # 41-09-070) for $24.99, free shipping on 1/25/2020. As soon as I got it I installed it and the problem was solved. If you cannot find the original part #, you can also use part # 3138-SB931001.

Orange Relay.pdf I had Front Left Main/High beam out with Front Light Failure on SID. I followed the information you provided including metering the Main Bean (56A) and Dipped Beam (56B) contacts on the 4109070 Light Control Module (Orange Relay). I reflowed the solder joints for each of the 8 contacts. Very easy repair. Lamp control/Headlight function is now normal. Awesome write-up by Cosmo. Aftermarket (4109070) are now readily available and cheap. I prefer staying with my 20 year old OE part. Still working like a champ and looks brand new.

My Drivers side High Beam was not working, replaced bulb - still not working. So I started searching for a solution. I found it here, re-soldered the relay and everything is working fine. Thanks!
