Coolant change B207E
Does this engine have a drain on the block? I couldn't find it on WIS.

IIRC, I was told by a Saab Tech that some of the very early models did have a drain on the water pump. But since the pump is internal to the engine I have no idea where the drain might be located on the front cover plate. This drain was removed on later models, with yours being a 2004 it may have the drain (assuming my memory is correct) or the drain may have been a 2003 feature only.

Thanks, I will take a look.
The water pump has a cover over it, I suppose you could remove that cover but it requires the removal of several components.Last edited by Blackbird; 10 April 2014 at 16:10.
