Door key won't lock drivers door ? Etc/... newby

Hi, I'm a newby with a year 2000 "project" 9-5 2.3t SE Estate Auto with 77k miles. I bought it as a spare estate car. However, there are a few issues I need to deal with:

    1. I only have one non-alarm Saab key. I have no remote for the central locking. I cannot lock the car at the drivers door, the key will not turn "left", but it will turn "right" to unlock the door. The central locking works from inside. My owners manual states I should be able to lock the car with the key in the drivers door, so I figure something must be wrong. Please can anyone advise? It is as if the key is not supposed to lock the car. I cannot lock the car from the tailgate outside either. Is it easy to get a replacement alarm fob?

    2. The driver's window doesn't work, I suspect it has come off its runners and has been disconnected shut. Is this likely to be an easy fix?

    3. I have a small radiator leak from the plastic/aluminium joint on the front lower left hand side. I have been trying to work out if I can remove the plastic tank and reseal the gasket. Has anyone ever done this?

    4. The front right tyre has worn off on the inside quite badly, just wondered what typical tyre wear is with these big FWD estates.

I'd really appreciate some advice. Its a great car, very practical, metallic blue with beige leather. Looking forward to using it if I can sort out these problems.

    Thanks & regards.

    1. It is fairly straightforward if you already have an existing key with remote but I'm not sure if it is even possible to get a new one made unless you have one to start with. Wish I had more to offer you on that one. Do a search for that specifically.

    2. Most likely you need a few of these. SAAB Window Roller Kit 4493433 - URO Parts 000K10004 - Free Shipping
Not too hard to change out.

    3. Replace is the only real option.

    4. Have you had the alignment checked? That is where I'd start. Some places will check that for you for free.
