    Outside thermometer stuck at 122F

Is there a way to clear the outside thermometer reading? Last week it was all over the place, this week it settled in to 122 F ?!?

It sounds like the sensor is bad and needs to be replaced.

The thermometer reading did start acting up after I went to a car wash, as another member mentioned (first time I haven't washed a car myself in years, but I'm currently nursing a broken leg).

I also noticed that my heater doesn't really kick out any heat unless the control knob is practically set at maximum.
Could the sensor be inhibiting the heater delivery? I could understand them being inter-related.

<$25 @ Europarts for a genuine SAAB part sensor - it's worth a try, I wonder if YouTube shows where the 2007 sensor is located?

The ACC determines a comfortable cabin temperature by using inside and outside temp sensors and a solar sensor. If it thinks it is 122F outside, it won't want to try heat up the cabin anymore. When you set it to maximum, it is basically a manual override.

The other thread shows some more info where to find the temp sensor on the 2006+ 9-5.
