I found the US version first and was unaware there was a different vs for Europe until I'd loaded the wrong one and my system went down :-(
I'm gutted.
I might be booking a holiday to visit Gordon Kellett in Dublin soon unless anyone knows of a dealer in Scotland who could do it....
Thanks for the support, Denis.

Hi Paul,
I also have version U306 in my Saab 9-5 2010. Could you please explain how I would go about power cycling the head unit? I wanted to know before I attempt to do the upgrade.
Thanks,
Bob

I just updated my firmware from U306 to U803 and everything went well except that now my outside temperature is no longer showing on the infotainment system. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, is there a fix?
Thanks,
Bob

Denis, many thanks for the reassurance that there are other Saab Specialists around. I’ve found Schoneville in Glasgow who have said they’ll sort it this week. Fingers crossed.
Ironically, my car now leaking coolant so it’s heading to the garage on the back of a tow truck. Two birds and one stone, I hope!

Hi, all-
Thanks to Tom and all that have posted this fix. Tried it today, and will see if the time and other settings hold.
I purchased my 2010 9-5 about two weeks ago, and took it to the dealer last week for a software update to solve this problem. Oddly they re-flashed everything except navigation, and the problem remained, and so I'm happy to have found this thread.
To help others, I'll attach a few photos to show the progress of the update from U415 to U803 (USA). I missed the shot of the screen you'll see when you first insert the flash drive, however it is the same as the last screen, except containing the current version of software. The whole thing took about 35 minutes, and to lessen the drain on the car battery, I connected a charger, and turned the headlamps and A/C off.

I've seen this before on another forum, the solution was to go to a dealer and get the original software reloaded, they will also put the new software fixes on for you.

Hi, all-
A quick update.... the software update described above seems to be working very well on my car. There's been a new problem playing iPhone audio via USB, which I've discovered was related to an iOS 11 update now solved.

Hi, i have a question:
E800 (or E803 in USA) is only an update for navy system?
or for all electronic options in the car?
It`s because my car is missing several options in the browser, such as the option to fold the mirrors from the key or not.
How can i update that?
