Sunroof suddenly not opening.
On my 2011 Saab 9-5 turbo6 the sunroof was opening and closing perfectly fine with ease. As well the sun cover was closing and opening with ease, suddenly they won't open or close, neither of them will. But when I click both of the buttons separately to see if the roof will open it'll make a noise as it's making connection but won't open it. Same with the sun cover, it's halfway open but when I close or open , just makes a tick noise but won't do anything . So complete power is running through the system. Common problem ? Please help !

SAAB Sunroof Issue
I am having similar issue.
My sunroof seems to be stuck, my sun cover works but only halfway. so it opens full but returns only half way.
My guess is the motor is gone on the sunroof which is not allowing the sunroof to completely close causing the sun cover to not engage fully.
I tried the reinitialization steps, that didn't do anything or I just don't know what to do. lol. Maybe this will help you.
I got this from WIS:
Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process (Existing Motor)
Perform the Initialization/Teach Process any time a new sunroof motor actuator is installed in
the vehicle.
"Manual" indicates the first switch detent
"Express" indicates the second switch detent
1. Ensure that the electrical harness on the headliner is connected to the sunroof
motor.
2. Put the ignition in the RUN position. (CAL file will be automatically downloaded by
Body Control housing, BCM).
"Manual close" is allowed and limited "manual open" is allowed
3. Re-initialization (Normalization) - Press "manual close switch" until glass/roller blind
finds hard stop. After initialization "express open" is allowed but not "express close"
4. Learn:
4.1. Open the sunroof window/sunshade with the express or manual open the switch
to the full open position the release the switch.
4.2. Press "manual open switch" for more than 10 seconds or until the sunroof
window starts AND reaches the closed position.
5. Verify the operation of the sunroof.
Note
The Initialization/Teach Process is not complete if any of
the following actions take place before the initialization
cycle is done:
• The sunroof switch is not held in the close position.
• The ignition and/or battery power has been removed.
• The glass panel has not reached the closed position.
The Initialization/Teach Process must be restarted if the
procedure is not carried out completely.

Ok figured out how to manually close the sunroof. Have to take the whole dome off and get inside. (Mostly just clips except two screws). Once dome off it requires a 4mm allen screwdriver and some effort to turn it.
Sunroof motor part number is GM 20907469. (Fits a buick regal 2015 and buck lacrosse 2011 as well if you want to look at a junkyard for parts - this is what I was told, might want to ask/check before you get it)
