AUX conversion for standard stereo/nav unit

Hi all

I've just recently purchased my first Saab and so far i love it, 2007 9-5 Tid Vector Sport estate. I've done some digging looking into changing the head unit blocks to one with an aux cable for mp3/iphone streaming. I'm looking for advice from people who have carried out this or maybe tutorial videos to see how its done and the best equipment to use. Also if this has be done where have you mounted the female jack on the dash.
