Fixing 9-7 rear lift gate

Can anyone tell me where to get instructions for working on the rear lift gate in my 2008 9-7x? The rear door latch seems to be either broken or coming unhinged, and I'd like to replace it without taking it to a mechanic, if possible. I took off the inside plastic covering and I can see the hinge but can't reach it. That's about as far as my home mechanic skills will take me without instructions, and I don't have a manual for the car.

Side question: is this something that a Blazer manual would help with? (I don't have one of those, either.)

Yes the Chevy book will work and you should be able to find several U-Tubes on the hatch latch.
