Saab 9-3 2008 Shifting issues
The car was working completely fine, other then a service engine soon and tire pressure system failure messages. I was trying to go into park and the shifter was giving a lot of resistance, which I found out much much later was because of a nickel being stuck down inside of the shifter. When trying to figure out why I couldn’t shift into park but all other gears (R N D) would work fine I just pushed really hard against the resistance and managed to get it into park but the car was not switching to it on the dash, leading me to believe I wasn’t completely in park. Now, about a week later after trying to take a part the shifter I found the nickel that was causing the issue and could not get it out yet, but the shifter has literally none of the previously mentioned resistance, but when shifting down through P R N D the dash stays only on park. Any help would be very, very much appreciated. Thanks!
