1999 9-5 SID question
I finally replaced my SID ribbon (thank god the one I ordered came with 2 ribbons as they are not an exact fit when lining up on the display. The contacts are just a fraction too wide so if I line up the first contact dead on, the last contact misses entirely).
So heres my question, and I cant find an answer online unless I'm just overlooking it, where does the SID get the data for the "speed" display???
My speedometer on the dash works fine but the SID displays "8mph" even when I'm not moving. Sometimes it will go as high as 11mph when I am driving but it doesn't change much. Could it be that the SID receives data from a different sensor than the dashboard speedometer? And if so, which one?
