Car is a 2005 9-3 Aero with 260,000 miles, I have owned it for 7 years and 145,000 miles and the clutch hasn't been touched in that time.

Last week my wife told me she couldn't get my car into reverse, when I tried it went in, but seemed a little "off".

This week driving to work every day, and I noticed I have to push the clutch pedal further down than I used to.

It also doesn't rise as quickly once I release it and a couple times I had to lift it with my toe.

I believe this points to the hydraulic system and not the clutch itself.

Could I be wrong?

Can the hydraulics be changed by me?

Do I need a new clutch?

Thanks in advance.
