OEM horns on the cheap!
SAAB OEM horns are expensive. Both of the horns died on my 2007 9-5 a few years back and I replaced them with cheap, crap aftermarket horns because at the time I was on a tight budget. Recently one of the aftermarket horns died and the other sounds like an asthmatic duck. OEM replacement SAAB horns are nearly $200 for the pair.
Well it turns out they are made by FIAMM, a supplier of many OEM horns for GM Chrysler, etc.
GM part number 84417047 is a pair of high and low note horns that are identical to the OEM horns. The bracket is different but you can swap the horns. The connector is also different, but it is easily removable. Just pry under the tabs in photo 2 and pull it off swap the connector from your SAAB horns and voila you?ve got 2 OEM SAAB horns.
GM part number 84417047 is usually available for under $20, saving you well over $100 for just a few minutes work to swap the connectors.
