No. It is only a fluid change. Use the correct fluid, 3306 or Type T-IV, and add same quantity you drain out which should be 4 quarts.

Mobil calls their fluid 3306. It is identical to the fluid that Toyota and Aisin (the manufacturer of the automatic transmission, call Type T-IV. All other fluid blenders and/or marketers will reference at least one of these names on bottles containing their own brand of compatible ATF. There is NO UNIVERSAL ATF, regardless of what a marketing person claims.

In nearly 20 years of ownership involving two different 9-5's, which collectively total 525,000 miles of driving, and ATF changes every 60,000 miles as per the Owner's Manual, I have changed this washer only once. I inspect it each time for visible signs of surface ridges that could prevent a proper reseal. I have never had ATF droplets from a leaking washer on the concrete drive either. I do have a couple of these aluminum washers in my Parts Cabinet just in case. Having rapid access to a replacement washer, even if it is in your Buddy's garage rather than yours, is a good idea if you find your sealing washer to be compromised after removal.
