I tried following these instructions but removing the lower grille while the bumper is still on the car requires the dexterity of a well-trained octopus! You need to lever off multiple clips simultaneously in a limited space, with bits of grit raining down on you. After an hour, I gave up.
On the advice of a dealer, I took the bumper off and this gives you much better access to get at those clips. I started at one end of the lower grille, pulling the grille from one side while levering the clips in sequence with a screwdriver on the other side, and it took about a minute!
To remove the front bumper, remove the spoiler shield first (see instructions, but you don't need to disconnect the washer hose or the cables in the front left corner, just lay it down) then there are 6 x 8mm bolts (3 in each wheel well) and 6 push-fit clips on top (3 either side of the bonnet catch). Push the centre in to remove the latter. Pull the rear corners of the bumper out and forwards - it may need a bit of a tug to disengage it from a series of clips under the front of the wing but be brave. You can then lie the bumper down and get at that lower grille properly!
The whole job takes less than an hour, but you do need to get the Tech II reprogrammed before the fog lights will work.
