Thanks for reply. No, I did not change the entire assembly, too much money. I replaced only Coolant bypass valve 2-times within 2 months. Both leaked at top vent. All the hoses are good. no cracks at all. the solenoid is bench tested with 12 volts. it functions correctly. Not sure what should be the voltage at the solenoid terminals. It reads 0.80 volts between the 2 terminals. Ground to each terminal is 12.8 Volts. the vacuum is good at the pipe.

2003 Saab 95 Arc V6 Turbo, Heater Valve replaced twice, leaked twice
HELLO Saab Friend, 2003 Saab 9-5 Arc
I replaced this Heater bypass valve 2 times in 2 months( bought for $12.79 each on Ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/7610-207-FI...72.m2749.l2649).
Dismantled it had pink diaphragm. The Original had black.
Both failed/leaked at the small hole vent above the diaphragm. What causes the failure.??? Any suggestion.?? The vacuum solenoid bench tested with 12 Volts, it works.
Please help. Thanks and regards.

Hello, seems you have malfunction in blending doors so you can resolve your issue by yourself, first you need to do the diagnosis of your ACC

ACC calibration and fault codes - Saab 9-5
Model year 1998-2005
Calibration is done by starting the engine and simultaneously pressing the AUTO and OFF buttons. Calibration takes about 30 seconds. Calibration must be performed if the battery has been disconnected/discharged, if the ACC unit or a stepping motor have been replaced or its position changed.
Calibration is also automatic directly following engine start in the following cases:
new ACC fitted
+30 supply was cut earlier than 10 minutes after the ignition was last turned off (usually in connection with battery replacement).
While calibrating, the number of stored diagnostic trouble codes is displayed instead of the left-hand temperature. Diagnostic trouble codes 0-23 are displayed for 3 seconds each instead of the right-hand temperature.

Getting to know more automotive repair. I think the cause is excessive pressure in the cooling system that burst the rubber diaphragm in this valve and leaks under the car. In summer when A/C is on the coolant is bypassed that creates more restriction (bends in hoses) and pressure. Excessive pressure is due to Head gasket leak, high pressure from cylinder transferred to cooling system.
To check head gasket without special tools see this

Please correct me if I dont make sense. Always leaning. Thanks for reading. God bless us all.
