Auction: 1957 Saab 93 Saloon

Former Saab importer and distributor Beherman Group for Belgium and the Netherlands put up their Saab collection for auction in 2014. After the Saab Automobile bankruptcy in 2011, Beherman continued to sell and distribute as part of Saab Parts AB.

These auctions were executed by British auction house Bonhams. Bonhams is one of the world’s oldest and largest auctioneers of fine arts and antiques, according to their website. They have locations all over the world and these Saabs were part of a large automotive auction in Paris on February 6th, 2014.

The SAAB 93 offered here previously formed part of the private collection belonging to an elderly enthusiast in Alicante, Spain, from which it was sold circa 2008. Currently owned by the former SAAB importer for Belgium, the car requires mechanical re-commissioning before returning to the road. Accompanying documentation consists of correspondence, bill of sale, maintenance invoice, press cutting and Spanish registration papers.

La type 93 vendue ici faisait précédemment partie d’une collection privée appartenant à un passionné d’un certain âge d’Alicante, en Espagne, qui l’a vendue vers 2008. Actuellement propriété de l’ancien importateur Saab en Belgique, la voiture a besoin d’une restauration mécanique avant de reprendre la route. La documentation fournie comprend des lettres, la facture de vente, des factures d’entretien, des coupures de presse et des papiers d’immatriculation espagnols.
