About The Author
Steven Wade has been writing about Saab cars and the Saab company since early 2005. His weblogs – Trollhattan Saab and Saabs United – were both a regular meeting place for Saab enthusiasts around the world and a first stop for accurate news.
Saabs United provided such support for the company during the sale process from General Motors that Steven was personally invited from his home in Tasmania, Australia, to attend the closing of the sale in Stockholm. An award was subsequently struck and named after Saabs United, to be given to those who go above and beyond in their support of Saab. Steven was the first recipient of the Saabs United Award in 2010.
Steven’s first Saab was a 1972 Saab 99E and he’s owned a flight of Saabs since, including a 9-3 Viggen, 900 Aero, and a number of Saab 99Turbos. He really, really likes 99Turbos.
